Trinity’s Outreach Initiative Team has been
meeting for nearly a year. Its goal is to take the church public. For
many people entering a church building is intimidating. With
encouragement from the national church and synod, Trinity is
trying new ways to be the church in the community. Along with the
church council, their efforts include: Lighted Holiday Parade Living
Nativity Float, Turkey Days Western themed parade float, International
Friendship Festival Bilingual Spanish/English worship service in Sherin
Park, Turkey Days Outreach Worship Service. Future plans include
partnering with food shelf in an outreach center setting and supporting
Pass It On thrift store in its ministry. |
